February 2009 Yim's Amtrak Trip to Reno
These are photos taken by Greg Yim on an Amtrak trip from Martinez, California, to Reno, Nevada. The subjects in the photos are Greg and Susan Yim, and Terry and Sharon Yim. (Susan is Carolyn's sister). On the journey the train passes through a number of towns such as Davis, Sacramento and Truckee. It also climbs the Sierras and passes Donner lake. The opening shots are of the train station in Martinez (pretty classy for Amtrak). Near the end there is a photo of Susan and Sharon standing outside the train getting some fresh air at the train station in Sacramento. Seeing these photos makes me want to check out taking Amtrak for a trip.
