In late August of 2001 we departed for Portland, Seattle and other points north. Our plan was do some sightseeing and play a little golf whenever we came across an interesting course. What we didn't plan on were the tragic events of 9/11. Our trip took us up I5 to a little beyond Seattle and then we went east through Bend, Oregon.
