New Golf Cart

We bought our first golf cart shortly after we arrived at Sun City in 2003. It was a rebuilt Club Car, probably a 1996 or somewhat later model. Over the years we upped the horsepower of its motor, added a cooler roof and made a number of other improvements and fixes. But now, seven years later, the old cart was beginning to show its age. Its springs were all creaky and its steering was wobbly, it had a noticeable list to port and it was generally starting to look old. So it was time to start anew which led to the purchase of another rebuilt Club Car, this one a more modern looking 2007 model. With the new one, we decided to go with maximum bling, although sticking with a stock body. The new cart has a 25 mph motor and a roof cooler, but it also has a custom paint job, burl dash and appointments, custom upholsterey, legal road gear, and some fancy wheels. Hopefully, this one will last a long time. Most recently we added a Carrello sun screen and two Formotion gauges (clock and thermometer). There is never too much bling.

The first two photos are of the old cart, showing what it looked like the day the dealer took it away. We got $1,000 for it on trade in.
The rest of the photos are of the new cart.
