Motorhome 2000 -- 2003
A few years after we moved to Santa Maria, after retiring, I got the bug to buy an RV. However, it couldn't be a tiny little RV as I doubt Carolyn would have considered that. As it was, we both got carried away and bought a monster. In time, I think Carolyn grew to like the new motorhome while I began to have serious doubts about the wisdom of our expenditure. Those doubts were justified when we put it up for sale in 2003 and ended up having to write a check for ten grand just to clear the loan on the rig. Lesson learned--never buy a new RV. However, I have to admit that during the three years we owned it we took a lot of fun trips and also greatly enjoyed the outings we experienced as members of our local motorhome club. There were some things about that I genuinely miss.
