David and Christy's New House
Skip's younger brother David married Christy Keeling on September 9, 2009 (Christy's magic all nines wedding date). Some time before that, Christy had purchased a very small, very old, very run down home in a yuppified area of San Luis Obispo. The two of them set to work on this little home turning it into a masterpiece of urban renewal. All it took was thousands of hours of back breaking work and lots and lots of money. There is very little in the home that is truly original. The old garage in the backyard was removed to make way for a new bird shelter and office for David and the backyard was totally redone. Check out the wonderful deck and gazebo. I took these pictures rather hurriedly during a recent visit. Hopefully, brother David will one day provide me with the much more professional photos that he has taken of the finished house and the construction efforts.
