2004 National Air and Space Museum
There are two locations for the National Air and Space Museum. The original is on the mall and is definitely a "must see." However, since we had seen that one before, we decided to drive out to Dulles Airport to see the new Udvar-Hazy Center which is located right off the runway at Dulles. This makes it possible to bring in some very large aircraft such as a retired Concorde. As shown in the illustration below, the building is huge; however, it is amazing well lighted making non-flash photography easy. This is one of those places where I could easily spend the whole day, but Carolyn was not quite so buzzed about airplanes.
